Did you know that pushing the “test” button on your GFCI outlets on a monthly basis helps extend their lifespan? GFCI outlets are usually found near water sources such as sinks, showers, etc. but they are in places (garage) too. Go ahead! Go around the house this month and push the test buttons. You should here a pop and the power is no longer running to the outlet. To restore power to the outlet, press the reset button. Good job!
